YES, THAT IS AN ICE WATERFALL BEHIND BARRY!

We took our salty sea kayaking kit for a dunk in the river last weekend. Nick and Mark invited Barry and I for a paddle down the Tryweryn. It was blowing a gale on the sea and seemed a perfect opportunity to try something a little out of our comfort zone. We had second thoughts as we looked at the ice-clad rivers on the drive there. brrrr. Neither of us have done much river paddling before, and enjoyed learning new things. Sorry the photos are not very good!

We've also been getting out on the sea a bit and enjoyed a choppy trip to the Skerries with a different Nick last Friday. Tomorrow we head to Canada for some skiing and some surf kayaking.
